SOUNDS OF KRESGE EXPERIMENT
This experiment was performed by members of Typography II and an a Special Topics Experimental Sound class. Together our goal was to come up with a video that orchestrated sound through a visual portrayal.
Using room numbers throughout Kresge Art Center, different sounds were recorded based on the different practices taken place in these specific rooms for example: painting, woodshed, ceramics, typing, and printing. When you're an art student, these noises become white noise. To an average Michigan State student, these are not the typical sounds you would hear in class. We placed these noises in the most traditional classroom setting in the building to bring attention to what has become our white noise.
